We are studying the book of 1 John.  Written between AD 85-95, the apostle John writes this letter to confront issues that have crept into the church through false teachers. John establishes, through his own physical witness of Jesus as man and God (John was present at the Transfiguration in Matthew 17), the truth versus error and specifically outlines how one can be assured of their faith.
