A Note from our Pastor

Dear Northeast Baptist Church Family,

Ecclesiastes 5:1-20 reminds us to approach God with humble hearts and listening ears.  Our worship is more than the words we speak or the songs we sing - it is a life that reflects our love, trust and obedience to Him.  This passage also reminds us to be careful about allowing possessions and the pursuit of more to become the focus of our lives.  It is easy to overlook the blessings we already have while chasing after the things we think will make us happier.  God calls us instead to recognize His gifts and enjoy them with grateful hearts.

As we go through this week, may we slow down and appreciate the simple blessings God has placed in our lives - our families, our church family, meaningful work, friendships, and the everyday moments He gives us.  A grateful heart helps us see that we already have so much to be thankful for.

May we continue to listen for God's voice, trust His timing, and find contentment in His goodness.  I am thankful for each of you and grateful that we have the opportunity to walk this journey of faith together.
